With this in mind, let's be as bea {YOU} tiful as you can be for your upcoming shoot.
Here is how.
Believe it or not, giving your skin and body some LOVE and CARE from the inside out does make a significant difference in your appearance on the day of the photoshoot. Yes, for real!
So pay close attention to these easy to understand beauty tips and try to follow them as closely as you can.
HAIR TIPS

- Bring your own brush and comb, if you want the hairstylist to use yours.
- Hair removal - eyebrows/lips/cheeks (if you do) should be waxed one to two days before the shoot, if you do it too close to the photo session you may have redness in that area.
FACE TIPS
- Arrive with a cleansed face, no makeup on, and properly moisturized (Applicable for when you hired a makeup artist to do your makeup).
- If you have any skin concerns or issues you can discuss it with the makeup artist.
LIP & EYE TIPS
- Arrive with clean eyes, meaning, use Visine, or another product that will reduce the redness of your eyes/veins.
- If there is a mascara you love, feel free to bring it along.
- For your Lip care, do a lip scrub two to three times a week followed by a good lip balm or mask.
NAIL TIPS
- Make sure your nails have been nicely manicured.
- If there is a theme for your shoot, a color palette, or brand colors, make sure you consult with me to ensure you are using the right color.
- When in doubt, please wear nude colors.
BEAUTY SLEEP REMINDER
- Get your beauty sleep; try to get at least 7 hours a night the week before your shoot. This is so important for healthy-looking skin.
- Sleep deprivation causes a decrease in blood flow to the skin surrounding your face and it will make you less attractive.
- Beauty sleep is REAL!
TAKE YOUR VITAMINS, EAT YOUR VEGGIES, DRINK WATER, AND AVOID ALCOHOL - Whew!
- The week before and the week of your photoshoot, you want to make sure you are drinking lots of water, this will do wonders for your skin - it is not a myth!
- Eat for your skin!!! It is so important to eat right for your skin; what you put into your body will show on your skin. Protein, vegetables, and fruit are always good. Eat natural anti-inflammatory foods such as ginger, turmeric, pineapples, etc. No need to cut out snacking, simply change it to light, healthier snacks. Dried fruit, nut, and seed mix are always good to have, and actually, a little dark chocolate is good for you too!
- Take a few beauty-friendly vitamins and other supplements (collagen, NR2) each morning with your breakfast o before going to bed as they will help with healthy-looking skin. Make sure you are taking vitamins that either contain Zinc, folic acid, and vitamin C or as standalone supplements.
- Reduce alcohol the week before to none about two to three days before it. Alcohol wreaks havoc on your skin depleting it of vital nutrients and can leave it dull and dehydrated.
